MATCH SPECIAL READY BARBED RIGS 8"

The Guru Match Special Ready Barbed Rigs 8" are ready-made hooklengths of approximately 20 cm for silverfish fishing in natural waters. Their length is versatile for pole fishing, waggler and feeder fishing, while the medium-weight Match Special hook offers a good balance between finesse and reliability.

The micro-barbed hook has a straight, razor-sharp point, a wide flat bend and a spade end. It is suitable for maggots, pinkies, casters, worms and sweetcorn, among other baits. Each hooklength is tied with supple, strong Guru N-Gauge and finished with a consistent end loop. To keep these hooklengths straight and protected, they fit in the Guru Adjustable Rig Case 8 Inch.

Frequently asked questions

When is the Match Special a good choice?
This hooklength is particularly suitable for all-round silverfish fishing in natural waters. The medium-weight wire and wide bend offer more strength than a particularly fine hook pattern, without making bait presentation unnecessarily coarse.

Can I use this hooklength with both a feeder and a float?
Yes. The approximately 20 cm length is suitable for pole fishing, waggler fishing and various light feeder rigs. Always match your choice to the fish species, bait and conditions.

What bait is the wide bend suitable for?
The wide bend provides room for a variety of natural baits, such as one or more maggots, pinkies, casters, a piece of worm or sweetcorn. Choose a bait size that suits the hook and the fish you expect to catch.
