LWGF XS Micro Barb Spade End – Spade End Barbed Hook

Guru LWGF XS Micro Barb Spade End

The Guru LWGF XS Micro Barb Spade End is an extra-strong feeder hook with a spade end and micro barb for demanding fishing on natural waters. The pattern combines a heavier wire gauge with a wide bend and an inturned point, so you can rely on secure hook holds even with larger fish and intensive catches.

This version is designed for bait presented directly on the hook, such as maggots, worms, sweetcorn or meat. The enlarged spade end allows the hook to be used with heavier hooklength materials. The forged hook shape and black nickel finish contribute to strength, sharpness and durability.

Frequently asked questions

When should I choose the LWGF XS instead of the standard LWGF?
Choose the XS version when you need more strength in reserve, for example when targeting larger fish, fishing at a higher catch rate or using a stronger hooklength. For ultra-fine presentations, a lighter pattern may be more suitable.

What bait can I use with this hook?
The wide bend is suitable for maggots, worms, sweetcorn and meat, among other baits. As this version has a spade end, it is primarily intended for bait placed directly on the hook.

What is the purpose of the inturned point?
The beaked point helps keep the hook point well protected during presentation and playing fish, while the wide bend provides sufficient room for the bait and a secure hook hold.

What species is this hook suitable for?
The pattern is suitable for targeting species such as bream, tench, chub and carp on natural waters. Always match the chosen hook and hooklength to the bait, fish size and conditions.
