Although these Guru Ligger Wire bobbers share similar features with the Skimmer regarding the stem, antennas, and sensitivity, it is the shape of the bobber that stands out, with a much rounder profile.
This gives the bobber ultimate stability and makes it easy to control in flowing water, perfect for use on rivers.
The shape of the bobber allows it to be held static or against the current to achieve a specific type of presentation in flowing water, slowing the bait without the body of the bobber coming out of the water.
Due to the rounder shape of the body, the line running along the outside of the body can cause a sharp angle and line damage, especially when moving the bobber up or down.
To prevent this, all these bobbers have an in-line system with a small piece of silicone running through the bobber, completely eliminating line damage.
The Guru Ligger Wire is suitable for situations where stability is a priority, allowing you to keep your bait stable and still, even in rough and windy weather.
The Ligger Carbon is better suited for fisheries where fast fishing is required, where you want to avoid knots when quickly sliding the rod in and out, or when you want to fish using the ‘on the drop’ method, so the bobber can follow the weights as they fall through the water.
The carbon itself is thin for optimal performance and cuts smoothly through the water, so you don’t suffer from annoying surface foam buildup on calm days.
