Light Clay 2kg – Light Clay

Eurofish Light Clay 2 kg: light clay for feeder fishing and silverfish

Eurofish Light Clay is a light fishing clay that adds weight to groundbait and helps it bind better in a feeder or groundbait ball. In the water, the fine clay helps bring the groundbait to the bottom in a controlled way, after which the mix can break down at the right moment. It also creates a subtle cloud that makes the feeding area more visible without adding much nutritional value.

This clay is particularly useful when pure groundbait washes out of the feeder too quickly, is too loose for accurate casting or would satisfy the fish too quickly. You can also use it to distribute live bait or fine groundbait particles evenly over the swim.

Key features

• Light, finely graded fishing clay
• Adds extra weight and binding to groundbait
• Helps keep groundbait firmly in the feeder
• Breaks down in a controlled way on the bottom
• Creates a light cloud in the water
• Adds hardly any nutritional value to the feeding area
• Suitable for feeder fishing, pole fishing and match fishing
• Contents: 2 kg

How do you use light clay?

Sieve the clay if necessary and mix it evenly through already moistened groundbait. Add the clay gradually and test a groundbait ball or filled feeder in the water along the way. This allows you to adjust the ratio to the depth, current, casting distance and desired breakdown time. To transport live bait, you can also moisten the clay separately and carefully mix it with the bait.

Frequently asked questions

When should I choose light clay instead of heavy clay?

Light clay is well suited to still or slow-flowing water and when you want limited added weight with a visible cloud. For strong currents or very deep swims, a heavier clay is generally more suitable.

Can I use this clay on its own?

Yes, for example to bring small quantities of live bait to the bottom. However, it is usually mixed with groundbait to control weight, binding and breakdown time.

How much clay should I add?

There is no fixed ratio for every situation. Start with a small amount and increase it until the feeder or groundbait ball remains intact during the cast and still opens on the bottom within the desired time.
