SF3 Pole Float 💰

The Drennan SF3 Pole Float was developed for a natural bait presentation with maggots and casters. The float excels on slow-flowing rivers and canals, but is also suitable for ponds and commercial waters. The design was created in collaboration with five-time world champion Alan Scotthorne.

The streamlined, teardrop-shaped balsa body combines stability with a gentle presentation. The slim 0.8 mm carbon stem allows the bait to sink through the water in a controlled and natural way. A securely anchored stainless-steel side eye and extra-strong acrylic finish make the float resistant to regular use.

Thanks to the interchangeable system for solid 1 mm Hi-Viz tips, you can adjust visibility to suit the light and background. Separate Drennan Hi-Viz Pole Float Tips are available separately. Fit the stem using suitable float silicone.

Frequently asked questions

When should I choose the Drennan SF3?

Choose the SF3 when you want to lower maggots or casters slowly and naturally through the water column. It is particularly useful on slow-moving water and stillwater where controlled bait presentation is important.

What is the advantage of the carbon stem?

The thin carbon stem adds very little weight beneath the body. This allows the bait to sink more gently and naturally, while the float retains sufficient stability.

Can I adjust the visibility of the tip?

Yes. The SF3 uses an interchangeable, solid 1 mm Hi-Viz tip. This allows you to choose a suitable tip colour for the prevailing light conditions and background.
