The Drennan SF2 Pole Float is a versatile pole float for fishing for roach, silver bream, bream and other silverfish with maggots or casters. The teardrop-shaped balsa body combines stability with controlled bait fall, making this float suitable for ponds, canals and slow-flowing water.

The self-aligning nickel-titanium stem remains straight and helps the float sit quickly and steadily. At the top is an interchangeable 1 mm solid plastic antenna, allowing you to adjust visibility to suit the light conditions. The durable acrylic finish protects the balsa body, while the glued side eye provides reliable line attachment.

Frequently asked questions

When should I choose the Drennan SF2?

The SF2 is a great choice when fishing with light baits while still wanting a stable presentation. Its teardrop-shaped body is more versatile in wind and light flow than a very slim pencil-style float.

Why is the nickel-titanium stem an advantage?

Nickel-titanium is resilient and straightens itself again after bending. This keeps the rig balanced and ensures the float continues to fish correctly, even after intensive use.

How do I adjust the antenna visibility?

Carefully pull the interchangeable tip from the holder and fit a 1 mm tip in a colour that provides sufficient contrast against the background. A dark tip often works well against bright, white water, while a highly visible colour helps against a dark bank or in changing light conditions.
