Drennan Hybrid Olivettes is a brand-new concept that combines the best features of both In-Line and Lock & Slide models.
With traditional Lock & Slide olivettes without a central hole, the line ran curved along the outside of the bomb-shaped weight. Under tension, the line straightened, which could cause the silicone on the spikes to shift. When playing powerful carp, the olivette could sometimes even come loose. That is why an opening just off centre was chosen, avoiding the central spikes. This opening is also fitted with a silicone lining to eliminate any risk of line damage. This new hybrid design truly combines the best of both systems and is a piece of high-tech micro-engineering.
