The Drennan AS5 Carp Pole Rig is a heavy-duty pole rig for large carp in shallow water and on swims where extra control is needed. The compact margin pattern was developed with five-time world champion Alan Scotthorne for commercial fisheries and is designed for powerful fishing with baits such as meat, sweetcorn, paste and bunches of maggots.

The rig is 2.5 metres long and hand-tied on 0.22 mm 8 lb main line, with a 0.20 mm 7 lb hooklength. A size 12 barbless Margin Carp hook provides a strong, direct setup. The interchangeable 2 mm Hi-Viz antenna remains clearly visible, while the balsa float body has a hard-wearing acrylic finish for intensive use.
