Magna Pot Medium – Groundbait Pot

With the Cresta Magna Pot Medium, you can feed small quantities of pellets, maggots or casters with extreme precision when pole fishing. The hinged lid closes magnetically, keeping the bait in the pot while shipping the pole out and releasing it only above the feeding spot.

The magnetic strength can be adjusted using the adjustment screw to suit the bait used and the desired release. Set the resistance lower to open the lid with a controlled tap and release the entire contents at once. With the magnet at full strength, you can instead feed maggots and pellets up to 4 mm gradually through the three round openings in the lid.

The soft, light-grey rubber base has a 5 mm round opening and two flexible side openings. This allows the pot to clamp firmly onto common top kits, while the soft material protects the carbon pole tip. Mount the hinge on the pole-tip side for correct operation. The straight shape keeps the pot square to the top kit and helps minimise contact with the line.

How do I adjust the bait release?

Turn the adjustment screw up or down to alter the magnetic strength. With less resistance, the lid opens after a controlled tap; at maximum resistance, it remains closed and the bait is released through the three holes.

What bait can I feed with the Magna Pot?

The pot is designed for loose, dry or hard bait, including maggots, casters and pellets. For gradual release through the closed lid, Cresta recommends pellets up to 4 mm.

How do I mount the pot on my top kit?

Slide the soft rubber base onto a suitable position on the top kit and point the hinge towards the pole tip. Before shipping the pole out, check that the pot is clamped securely.

Why is the magnetic strength adjustable?
