Sonubaits Band'um Wafter were first introduced by Sonubaits in 2014 in smaller sizes to appeal to match anglers.

Since then, the flavours and colours have changed, but the principle remains the same.

A wafter should float, but slowly sink with the weight of a hook attached. This gives the wafter critical balance and makes it hover. Because it hovers when a fish is feeding, it rises into the fish’s mouth faster than bottom bait. This results in more hooked fish.

If it sinks without the weight of the hook, then it is not a wafter. It is a normal sinking bait and will not work as a wafter should. Always check your wafter in a tub of water before using it.
Band'um Wafters are a bait with buoyancy between a bottom bait and a pop-up. It is designed to counteract the weight of the hook.
Perfect for use with a Method Feeder, because the Band'um Wafter sits just above the pile of pellets or groundbait on the Method Feeder. This means that when a fish is feeding, the Band'um Wafter shoots into the fish’s mouth, leading to more and quicker bites.

This means the hook sits perfectly just below the centre of the bait, resulting in more hooked fish. The Band'um is also less likely to be pulled off the hair, allowing you to fish with more confidence and efficiency.

The Sonubaits Band'um Wafter is also an ideal bait for use on the pellet waggler, because it sinks more slowly than a standard bait. The Band'um Wafter therefore spends more time in the feed zone than a standard bottom bait, giving carp more chance to take it.

Washed-out wafters are, as the name suggests, washed out. The colours are subtle pastel pink, yellow and orange, and they are designed to look as though they have been in the water for some time, giving carp more confidence to eat them. The sweet creamy flavour remains strong and highly effective.
