Sonubaits Spike’um Wafters are soft, balanced Method hookbaits specially developed for mounting on a bait spike or bayonet. They combine an easy-to-pierce structure with enough firmness to stay securely on the rig during casting and when small fish are a nuisance.

The buoyancy helps offset the weight of the hook, allowing the hookbait to be presented lightly and naturally above the groundbait. Sonubaits has tuned the consistency so the Wafters retain their balanced action even after the tub has been opened.

Mounting and use

Prick the Wafter onto a bait spike or slide it onto a bayonet on the hair. Always check the rig in the margins: the Wafter should largely offset the hook weight without lifting the entire hooklength. With a heavier or lighter hook, the balance may differ.
