Guru Speed Beads
Guru Speed Beads combine a rubber buffer bead with an internal quick-change swivel. The bead forms the stop against which a free-running feeder or lead weight comes to rest, while the swivel provides a reliable connection to the main line and hooklength. This allows you to quickly create a compact rig without having to retie the entire hooklength each time.
The rubber outer section slides over the swivel and keeps the hooklength connection neatly protected. To change hooklengths, pull back the bead, unhook the hooklength loop from the quick-change swivel and attach a new hooklength. Then slide the rubber bead back over the connection.

Use with an inline feeder
First thread the main line through a compatible inline feeder, such as the Guru Hybrid Feeder In-line System. Then slide the Speed Bead onto the line and tie the internal swivel securely in place. Finally, attach the hooklength loop to the quick-change swivel and pull the rubber bead over the connection.
Practical questions
Do I need to cut the hooklength to replace it?
No. By sliding the bead back, the quick-change swivel is released, allowing you to remove and replace a looped hooklength.
Is this a feeder connector or just a buffer bead?
It is a combination of both: the rubber bead stops the feeder or lead, and the internal swivel connects the hooklength to the main line.
