Ambition Picker 2.40m – Feeder rod 🎁

The Zebco Ambition Picker 2.40m is a short and lightweight rod for fine ledger and feeder fishing at close range. Its compact length makes it easy to handle on canals, small ponds and swims with limited space, while the sensitive blank clearly transmits subtle bites from roach, bream and tench.

The parabolic action distributes the load gradually across the rod. This allows the blank to absorb unexpected runs smoothly and maintains control during the fight, even when fishing with finer lines and smaller hooks. The maximum casting weight of 30 grams makes the rod particularly suitable for light feeders, bombs and float rigs.

The two-piece construction is practical for transport, and the full cork handle provides a comfortable, direct grip. At approximately 165 grams, this picker also remains comfortable to hold during active fishing and frequent recasting.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a picker and a longer feeder rod?

A picker is shorter and generally designed for lighter rigs at short to medium range. This makes it manoeuvrable, sensitive and particularly pleasant to use on smaller waters or swims with limited space.

Which rigs suit the maximum casting weight of 30 grams?

Use light feeders, bombs or float rigs with a total casting weight of no more than 30 grams. Include not only the lead or empty feeder, but also groundbait, bait and other rig components.

Which fish species is this picker suitable for?

It is primarily designed for fine fishing for roach, bream and tench. Thanks to the parabolic action, you can also play an unexpectedly stronger fish in a controlled manner, provided the line, hook and drag are correctly matched.
