Mini Wafters

Ringers Mini Wafters are compact, semi-buoyant hookbaits for a subtle, balanced presentation. Their buoyancy helps offset the weight of the hook, allowing the bait to sit lightly above the bottom or groundbait and be easily taken by a feeding fish.

The small dumbbell shape is particularly useful for Method and pellet feeder fishing for carp, F1s, bream and skimmers. You can present the wafter on a hair, bait band or bayonet. Its compact size also makes this hookbait an excellent choice when fish are feeding cautiously or ignoring a larger hookbait.

Key features

• Compact semi-buoyant wafter
• Helps offset the weight of the hook
• Natural hookbait presentation that is easy for fish to take
• Suitable for Method feeder and pellet feeder fishing
• Can be mounted on a hair, bait band or bayonet
• For carp, F1s, bream, skimmers and other silverfish
• Also effective in cold water and when fish are feeding cautiously

Mounting and balance

Mount the Mini Wafter on your chosen hair rig and test the setup in the margins before casting. The ideal combination sinks slowly under the weight of the hook, without the hookbait lying flat and heavily on the bottom. If necessary, adjust the hook size or rig until the desired balance is achieved.

Frequently asked questions

How does a mini wafter differ from a regular sinking pellet?
A wafter has slight buoyancy and therefore offsets part of the hook weight. This creates a lighter presentation that can be sucked in more easily.

Can I use Ringers Mini Wafters with a bait band?
Yes. The dumbbell shape is ideal for a bait band, but a hair or bayonet can also be used.

Why should I test the rig beforehand?
The final buoyancy depends on the weight of your hook and rig. A quick test in shallow water immediately shows whether the bait sinks slowly and is presented correctly.
