External PTFE Bushes – External Bushes for Pole Tip 💰

Preston External PTFE Bushes provide smooth, controlled guidance for pole elastic at the end of a pole or top kit. The high-quality PTFE has a smooth surface that reduces resistance and wear, allowing the elastic to move freely out of the pole tip while playing fish.

The slim, elongated profile helps prevent the line from wrapping around the base of the bush. The external bush is fitted over the carefully shortened end of the pole tip, creating a rounded outlet for the elastic. Use the variant selector to choose a size that matches both the outer diameter of the tip and the elastic diameter used.

Key features

• External PTFE bush for poles and top kits
• Smooth material allows pole elastic to move freely
• Helps reduce friction and premature wear
• Slim profile reduces line tangles around the base
• Suitable for light Slip to heavy Hollo elastics

Combine the bush with the active Preston Hollo Elastic when you want to build a complete hollow elastic setup.

How do I determine the right external pole bush size?

Measure the outer diameter of the shortened pole tip and take the diameter of the elastic into account. The bush should fit securely over the carbon, while the elastic can move through the opening without being pinched.

What is the difference compared with an internal PTFE bush?

An external bush slides over the outside of the pole tip. An internal bush is fitted inside the tip. Which version is suitable depends on the construction and the available diameter of your top kit.
