Matrix X-Strong Feeder Links
Matrix X-Strong Feeder Links are ready-made feeder links for a free-running rig with heavy feeders. The stiff fluorocarbon boom keeps the feeder further away from the main line during casting, helping to prevent tangles.
This reinforced version is made from super-stiff 0.60 mm fluorocarbon and features an X-Strong swivel. This makes it particularly suitable for river fishing and other situations where heavier feeders are used. Each feeder link is assembled with Matrix components and fitted with the distinctive moulded Matrix running bead.
Why use a stiff feeder link?
With a free-running rig, the feeder can come close to the main line during casting. The stiff link acts as a short boom and keeps both better separated. This makes the rig neater and reduces the risk of the line twisting around the feeder or swivel.
