Although these Guru Ligger Carbon floats share similar features with the Skimmer regarding the stem, antennas, and sensitivity, it is the shape of the float that sets it apart, with a much rounder profile.
This gives the float ultimate stability and makes it easy to control in flowing water, perfect for use on rivers.
The shape of the float allows it to be held static or against the current to achieve a specific type of presentation in flowing water, slowing the bait without the body of the float coming out of the water.
Due to the rounder shape of the body, the line running along the outside of the body can cause a sharp angle and line damage, especially when moving the float up or down.
To prevent this, all these floats have an in-line system with a small piece of silicone running through the float, completely eliminating line damage.
The Ligger Wire is suitable for situations where stability is a priority, allowing you to keep your bait stable and still, even in rough and windy weather.
The Guru Ligger Carbon is better suited for fisheries where fast fishing is required, where you want to avoid tangles when quickly sliding the rod in and out, or when you want to fish using the ‘on the drop’ method, allowing the float to follow the weights as they fall through the water.
