Drennan Bandit Pole Rigs - Rigs
Like all Drennan fishing rigs, Crystal Dibber Rigs are hand-tied in our own factories according to our meticulous standards. Quality components are used throughout with precisely shot floats and well-tied knots.
Each rig is attached to a sensitive line from 0.18 mm (5.8 lb) to 0.23 mm (8.9 lb), depending on the rig size. They also feature leaders that are loop-to-loop connected from 0.16 mm (4.9 lb) to 0.20 mm (6.9 lb) and Wide Gape Carp or Power Carp Riggers hooks from sizes 16 to 12.
The actual floats used are our award-winning Crystal Dibbers, which are strong, buoyant, and specially made for catching carp in shallow water. They are ideal at depths up to about 1.2 meters – whether in the water, along the edge, or near an island on the far bank. The transparent body is also much harder for a fish to detect. Fluorescent red, orange, and yellow tops are available for all preferences.
Each Drennan Bandit Pole Rig is delivered on a super-strong rod winder with clearly printed information, indicating the float, line, and hook size.
The leaders are tied to a 1.5-meter line, which can be shortened further if desired. Under good conditions, we recommend having between 30 cm and 60 cm of line above the float. If it’s windy or if the fish are particularly wary of swimming under the tip of your rod, then a line of 1 meter or more above the float may be better.
The floats are precisely shot with a neat amount of shot. You can change the position of the shot by moistening the line and carefully sliding shot up or down, one by one.
