Solid Elastic 6m

Cresta Solid Elastic 6m – hard-wearing solid elastic

Cresta Solid Elastic is a solid latex elastic for pole fishing, suitable for both match anglers and recreational anglers. It provides direct and predictable cushioning during the fight, while the highly visible colour makes it easy to quickly distinguish the elastic and selected strength.

The hard-wearing latex is treated with liquid silicone for smooth movement through the pole tip. The elastic is supplied without a winder, so it is not kept under constant tension during storage. With a length of 6 metres, you have enough material to elasticate several top kits, depending on the setup and top kit length.

Key features

• Solid latex elastic for pole fishing
• Smooth, controlled stretch during the fight
• Hard-wearing material for regular use
• Liquid silicone promotes free movement through the pole tip
• Clear colour coding for quick identification
• Supplied without a winder to avoid permanent pre-tension
• Length: 6 metres
• Suitable for coarse fish and carp, depending on the selected strength

A complete elastic setup

Finish the pole tip smoothly with a suitable Cresta PTFE Internal Bush, allowing the elastic to move freely without rubbing against a sharp edge. For a lightweight connection between the elastic and rig, you can use the Cresta Smooth Dacron Connectors. Always check that the diameters of the elastic, connector and pole bush are matched.

Frequently asked questions

When should I choose solid elastic instead of hollow elastic?

Solid elastic generally provides more direct contact and is well suited to controlled fishing for coarse fish and carp. Hollow elastic usually stretches further and more progressively. The best choice depends on the species, the water and your personal preference.

How many top kits can I set up with 6 metres of elastic?

That depends on the length of the elastic setup. In many cases, 6 metres is enough for two to three top kits, but measure the required length for each top kit before cutting.

How can I prevent premature wear?

Use a smooth, correctly sized pole bush, check regularly for damage and store the top kit without unnecessary tension on the elastic. Replace the elastic as soon as you notice rough spots, drying out or reduced resilience.
