Weighted Coil Feeder

The Zebco Weighted Coil Feeder is a weighted spiral feeder cage onto which you can easily press groundbait around the metal spiral. The open construction holds the groundbait together during the cast and releases it directly around the feeder at the fishing spot.

Thanks to the integrated weight, the feeder sinks quickly and remains stable on the bottom. This traditional design is suitable for feeder techniques where you want to present a compact portion of groundbait accurately, both in still water and in a light current.

Frequently asked questions

What groundbait should I use on a spiral feeder cage?
Use a kneadable groundbait that binds firmly enough to withstand the cast but can break up again on the bottom. Press the groundbait evenly around the spiral without compressing it unnecessarily hard.

When should I choose a weighted coil feeder?
This feeder cage is useful when you want to present groundbait compactly around an open spiral. The built-in weight helps the rig sink quickly and stay in place on the chosen feeding spot.

How do I make sure the groundbait stays on during the cast?
Moisten the groundbait gradually and let it rest briefly before pressing it around the spiral. If it is too dry, it will break up prematurely; if it is too wet, it will release too slowly on the bottom.
