The Drennan Vertex Reel RD 4000 is a versatile feeder reel for anglers who prefer fishing with a rear drag. The drag can be adjusted precisely and progressively, allowing you to adapt the line tension while playing a fish. Its size is ideal for feeder fishing on commercial fisheries, canals and natural waters.
The shallow spools are designed for commonly used feeder lines. This means you need less backing line and can spool your line neatly. That helps with controlled, accurate casts. The stainless steel, sprung line clip lets you set your casting distance. Rubber marker buttons on the spools help you identify the line diameter or breaking strain loaded on them.
The reel features a smooth 7+1 bearing system and a 5.1:1 gear ratio. The handle folds in at the press of a button, which is useful when transporting a set-up feeder rod. The package includes one aluminium spool and two composite spools, so you can keep different lines ready to use.
