Method Mix (Sweet) Fishmeal 2kg – Sweet Method Groundbait with Fishmeal

Van den Eynde Method Mix Fishmeal 2 kg is a fine, dark Method groundbait with a high proportion of carefully selected fishmeal products. The mix absorbs plenty of water, binds well around the Method feeder and releases in a controlled manner after casting. This makes it particularly suitable for carp and bream in commercial fisheries.

Its dark colour makes the groundbait suitable for both shallow and deeper water. The Sweet Fishmeal composition adds a distinct sweet note to the fishmeal profile, which can provide extra attraction on certain days. You can also use the groundbait outside Method fishing when a fine, nutritious fishmeal mix is required.

Mixing and checking

As a guideline, use 500 ml of water per kilogram of groundbait. Preferably moisten the mix in two stages, allowing approximately 15 minutes of resting time in between. Then mix again and, if necessary, pass the groundbait through a sieve. The mix is right when you can make a firm ball that readily breaks apart again under light pressure.

Recipe with pellets

For extra coarse particles, you can add approximately 200 g of 3 mm pellets per kilogram of Method Mix. Soak the pellets separately for approximately two minutes, drain them and only then mix them into the prepared groundbait. This gives you more control over the moisture and binding of the Method mix.

Frequently asked questions

Why should I moisten this Method groundbait twice?

Due to its high fishmeal content, the mix continues to absorb plenty of moisture during the resting time. Moistening in two stages helps create an even, effective consistency without making the groundbait too wet straight away.

How do I know if the mix is ready for the Method feeder?

Press a small amount into a ball. If it stays compact while forming but breaks apart easily again under light pressure, the consistency is suitable for further testing at the waterside.

Can I use the mix without pellets?

Yes. The Method Mix can be used on its own. Pellets are an optional addition when you want to offer more coarse particles on the spot.
