Pro Paste 500g

Sonubaits Pro Paste: hook paste with adjustable consistency

Sonubaits Pro Paste is a fine, easy-to-use paste mix with a high fishmeal content. Its strong binding allows you to tailor the hook paste precisely to your fishing: from firm and sticky to very soft. Even when prepared wet, the breakdown remains controllable, so the paste stays around the hook before gradually releasing its attraction.

The mix was developed with experienced match anglers, including Andy Findlay, Joe Carass and Zac Brown. Pro Paste is particularly effective as a very soft hook paste when targeting larger coarse fish and carp.

Mixing Sonubaits Pro Paste

For firm, sticky hook paste, use approximately one part water to one part Pro Paste. For an extremely wet, soft paste, you can use up to two parts water to one part Pro Paste. Add the water gradually and knead thoroughly until the desired consistency is achieved.

You can also mix Pro Paste with suitable groundbait. This turns the groundbait into usable hook paste and slows down the breakdown. Adjust the amount of Pro Paste and water to the desired firmness and conditions.

Frequently asked questions

When should I choose firm or soft hook paste?

Firmer paste stays on better when you need more resistance or a longer holding time. Very soft paste releases scent and feed particles more quickly and is especially useful when fish are feeding cautiously.

What mixing ratio should I use?

For a firm paste, start with one part water to one part Pro Paste. For a very wet paste, you can increase the ratio to two parts water to one part Pro Paste. Small adjustments give you full control over the final texture.

How do I attach the paste to the hook?

Shape a small amount of paste around the hook and press it on lightly. Make sure the hook point can emerge freely on the bite. After a few minutes, check how quickly the paste breaks down in your water and adjust the consistency if necessary.
