Duos Wafters Mini 5mm

Ringers Duos Wafters Mini 5mm are compact, two-tone hookbaits for a striking yet subtle bait presentation. Their slight buoyancy helps offset the weight of the hook, allowing the hookbait to be presented more naturally above the baited area and picked up more easily by feeding fish.

The small size is particularly suitable for method feeder fishing and other fine feeder presentations. They perform especially well on heavily fished commercial fisheries, in cold water and when fish are reluctant to take larger hookbaits. The combination of two highly visible colours gives a single small hookbait extra visual contrast.

Key features

• 5 mm mini wafter
• Two contrasting colours in one hookbait
• Slight buoyancy to help balance the hook
• For method feeder fishing and fine feeder presentations
• Suitable for cautious fish on heavily fished waters
• Can be mounted with a bait band, bait spike or fine bayonet

Use

Mount the wafter outside the hook bend using a bait band, spike or bayonet. Check the presentation beforehand in a bait tub or at the waterside: the chosen hook pattern and hook size determine how much buoyancy is compensated. The ideal combination sinks slowly and sits lightly on the bottom without obstructing the hook point.

Frequently asked questions

Why choose a mini wafter instead of a larger hookbait?
A compact wafter puts less food on the hook and creates a subtle presentation. This can be advantageous in low water temperatures, under high fishing pressure or when bites are cautious.

Does the wafter float completely above the bottom?
A wafter is designed to be balanced together with the hook. The final result therefore depends on the weight of the hook and the rig used; test every combination before casting.

Can I put this wafter directly on the hook?
For the best presentation, it is generally mounted on a bait band, bait spike or fine bayonet on the hair. This keeps the hook point completely clear.
