Response Whips – Margin poles (to order)

Please note: this product is made to order with a delivery time of approximately one week.

The Preston Response Whips are slim, fast-reacting margin poles for fishing for small silverfish. Their light, balanced construction is designed for a fast fishing pace, for example when you want to catch lots of bleak or other small fish close to the bank.

Flick Tip and slim blank

Each Response Whip comes as standard with a Flick Tip and a screw-on end cap at the bottom of the handle section. The supple tip suits a fine rig setup; match your line and hook to the fish you expect and avoid overloading when landing fish.

Choosing a length for your fishing spot

For fishing right under the bank, a short margin pole is useful. More length is helpful when the water is deeper or the fish are a little further from the bank. Choose based on the reach you need and the depth of your fishing spot, not just on the weight of the rod.

Key features

• Slim blank for targeted fishing for small silverfish
• Light, balanced construction and fast response
• Supplied as standard with a Flick Tip
• Screw-on end cap on the handle section

Carbon conducts electricity. Do not use the rod during thunderstorms or near overhead power lines.
