ICS Elasticated Stem Kits – Stems (2 pcs)

Preston ICS Elasticated Stem Kits

With the Preston ICS Elasticated Stem Kits, you can give a compatible ICS feeder an elastic connection between the feeder and hooklength. The built-in elastic absorbs sudden runs, giving you more control during the fight and reducing the risk of hook pulls or line breaks. This is particularly useful when fishing commercial fisheries, where strong F1s, carp or barbel can make a powerful late run close to the rod tip.

The stem clicks directly into the Preston Inter Change System and features a Quick Change Bead. This allows you to replace the hooklength quickly, while the feeder itself also remains easy to change. Use the product selector to choose a version that suits the size of the fish and the required cushioning: a shorter stem responds more directly and helps when fishing at a fast pace, while extra elastic stretch provides more reserve for larger fish.

Frequently asked questions

What is the benefit of an elasticated feeder stem?

The elastic acts as a buffer between the feeder and hooklength. This absorbs unexpected runs more effectively and allows you to use finer tackle with greater control.

How do I choose the right version?

Match your choice to the fish species, fishing pace and desired amount of stretch. A more direct action is useful for smaller fish and fast fishing, while greater cushioning provides extra confidence with larger, powerful fish.

Can I change my hooklength quickly?

Yes. The supplied Quick Change Bead allows you to replace the hooklength quickly and securely without having to retie the entire rig.
