Absolute Window Feeders Caged

The Preston Absolute Window Feeder Caged combines the open structure of a mesh feeder with a forward-positioned weight. You use it with groundbait, like a standard open feeder, but the design is intended for fishing at greater distances. The mesh allows the groundbait to form a cloud in the water column. This makes it a focused choice when you not only want to deliver groundbait to the bottom, but also create a trail of groundbait as it sinks.

Open feeder for active bait release

With this Caged version, the groundbait is in contact with the water through the mesh. Fill the feeder with your mixed groundbait and adjust the binding to achieve the desired bait release. If you want a clouding effect as it sinks, check how your mix releases from the feeder. Moistening and compressing the groundbait also determine how quickly this happens.

Forward weight for distance fishing

Preston has positioned the weight at the front to support casting at distance. This allows you to use the same approach as with a conventional mesh feeder when your feeding spot is further from the bank.
