Preston MCM-B Banded Hair Rig Barbless 10cm – ready-made hooklengths with bait band

The Preston MCM-B Banded Hair Rigs are ready-made, barbless 10 cm hooklengths for fishing with pellets and Band’Ums. The short hooklength is particularly suitable for method and hybrid feeders, where the hookbait needs to be presented close to the groundbait. This allows you to fish quickly and consistently without having to tie every hooklength yourself.

Each hooklength is hand-tied using strong Preston Reflo Power line and finished with an eyed MCM-B hook. The pre-mounted bait band holds the hookbait securely on the hair and makes changing bait easy. The barbless hook pattern is suitable for commercials and other waters where barbless fishing is compulsory or preferred.

The pack contains eight hooklengths on a Mag Store Rig Stick. This stick can be placed directly into a suitable Preston Mag Store System Box. The label on the stick states the hook size, line diameter and breaking strain, so you can quickly find the right hooklength on the bank.

How do you attach the hookbait?

Carefully stretch the bait band around a pellet or Band’Um. This keeps the bait outside the hook bend, leaving the hook completely free for a quick hook-up. Match the bait size to the chosen hook and the fish species you expect.

Why a 10 cm hooklength?

A short hooklength keeps the hookbait close to the groundbait area around a method or hybrid feeder. This ensures direct bait presentation and quick bite indication when carp or F1 pick up the groundbait.
