Pole Float Silicone

Matrix Pole Float Silicone for a neat float setup

Matrix Pole Float Silicone is ultra-thin, strong silicone tubing that allows you to securely attach a pole float to the line. The thin wall keeps resistance to a minimum when the float rises, ensuring the setup remains sensitive and neat.

Cut off the desired length, thread the silicone onto the line and slide it over the float stem. Each pack contains both clear and black silicone, 0.5 metres of each. The clear version is intended for steel or fibreglass stems; the black version matches carbon stems.

Frequently asked questions

Which colour should I use for my float stem?

Use clear silicone with a steel or fibreglass stem and black silicone with a carbon stem. This ensures the setup visually matches the material of the float.

How do I choose the right diameter?

Choose a diameter that slides snugly over the float stem and provides sufficient grip without forcing the material. The correct size therefore depends on the thickness of the stem.

How much silicone do I need per attachment point?

Cut off only a short piece that firmly grips the float stem. A suitable length provides sufficient grip without making the setup unnecessarily heavy or stiff.

Can I still adjust the float after fitting it?

Yes. When the silicone fits correctly, you can carefully slide the float along the line to adjust the fishing depth.
