Description
The Matrix MXC-4 X-Strong Bait Band Rigs are strong, ready-made 10 cm hooklengths for targeted feeder fishing for larger fish with pellets or dumbbell boilies.
Each rig is precisely tied with an ultra-sharp, barbless Matrix MXC-4 wide-gape hook with a PTFE coating and strong Matrix Power Micron nylon. The bait band is attached using Jamie Hughes’ ‘band in loop’ method. This keeps the bait neatly presented and puts less strain on the bait band while fishing.

Frequently asked questions
What hook bait can I attach with the bait band?
The bait band is particularly suitable for hard pellets and dumbbell boilies. Choose hook bait that is firm enough to stay in the band during casting.
Why is the bait band attached in a loop?
The ‘band in loop’ setup gives the hook bait more freedom of movement and reduces the strain on the bait band. This helps create a natural presentation and extends its lifespan.
When should I choose a 10 cm hooklength?
A short 10 cm hooklength is particularly suitable for method and compact feeder setups, where the hook bait needs to be presented close to the groundbait.
