Expanda Big Fish 1kg – Groundbait

Van Den Eynde Expanda Big Fish: fishmeal groundbait made from ground expander pellets

Van Den Eynde Expanda Big Fish is a medium-heavy groundbait based on finely ground expander pellets. Its high content of fishmeal and other protein sources is aimed primarily at larger bream and carp. The Big Fish aroma gives the mix a distinctive profile for waters where fishmeal products work well.

The ground expanders combine sufficient binding with a quick breakdown. This makes the groundbait suitable for pole fishing, feeder fishing, method feeder fishing and paste fishing on lakes, canals and rivers. As the mix absorbs a lot of moisture, careful preparation is important.

Preparation in three steps

Then check its performance in the water and, if necessary, adjust the firmness with a small amount of water.

Combination for a sweet fishmeal mix

For a sweet fishmeal mix, the manufacturer recommends one part Feeder Sweet Carp with one part Expanda Big Fish. You can further enhance the aroma profile with BS20 and the matching Big Fish powder additive. Always follow the recommended dosage for additives.

Frequently asked questions

Why does Expanda Big Fish need relatively much water?

The finely ground expander pellets continue to absorb moisture while resting. Stopping the moistening process too early can therefore result in a drier and more active mix than intended.

Can I use Expanda Big Fish with a method feeder?

Yes. Adjust the moisture level so that the groundbait binds sufficiently in the method mould, while still breaking down in a controlled way around the hook bait after casting.

What waters can I use this groundbait on?

The mix can be used on lakes, canals and rivers where fishmeal groundbait is readily accepted. Adjust the quantity, moisture level and any added weight to suit the depth and flow.
