Progress - Elasticated Tip and Butt Protector – Elasticated rod tip and butt protectors

The Korum Progress Elasticated Tip and Butt Protector protects the vulnerable tip and handle sections of a two-piece rod during transport and storage. The two padded sleeves are connected by an adjustable elastic section, keeping the protection securely in place without needing to store the rod sections separately in a rod holdall.

Adjustable for two-piece rods

The elastic centre section is adjustable for two-piece rods with a stated rod length of 8 to 13 ft. The slim upper sleeve fits around the tip section, while the larger lower sleeve slides over the handle section. This protects the rod ends from knocks, scratches and abrasion.

For rod holdall or quiver

The 150D PU outer fabric is compact and suitable for use in Korum rod holdalls and quivers. Before tightening, check that rod rings, line and any attached rig are positioned freely. If you also want to keep the sections together more securely or fix an attached lead separately, combine the protector with the Korum Progress Rod and Lead Bands.

Frequently asked questions

Is this product suitable for three-piece rods?

Korum specifies the adjustment range for two-piece rods. With a three-piece rod, the position and length of the elastic may not fit correctly.

Does this set also protect the rod rings?

The padded sleeves protect the rod ends, but do not position a rod ring directly under a hard edge or tight elastic. Check the position of the rings before tightening the set.

Does this protector replace a rod holdall?

No. The set protects and bundles the rod ends, but a padded rod holdall provides additional protection around the entire rod during transport.
