Guru Super MWG Speed Stop Ready Rigs

The Guru Super MWG Speed Stop Ready Rigs are ready-made barbless hooklengths for a quick and reliable presentation of softer hook baits. The carefully selected hair length and integrated Speed Stop keep the bait securely on the hair, while a 0.3 mm piece of micro silicone on the hook shank helps stabilise the bait's position.

Each rig is tied with proven Guru N-Gauge line and fitted with a PTFE-coated Super MWG hook. This combination makes the hooklength highly versatile on commercials, including for feeder, bomb and certain pole fishing rigs. For quickly threading and changing hook bait, you can use the Guru Speed Needle And Speed Stops.

Frequently asked questions

Which hook bait can I attach with the Speed Stop?

The rig is particularly practical for softer or compact hook baits that can be placed on the hair with a Speed Stop, such as sweetcorn, soft pellets or small boilies. Always check that the bait is sitting securely against the stop.

How do I attach hook bait to the Speed Stop?

Insert a Speed Stop needle into the thicker end of the stop, push the stop completely through the hook bait and then remove the needle. Then turn the stop flat against the bait so it remains on the hair.

What is the piece of silicone on the hook shank for?

The micro silicone guides the hair along the hook shank and helps keep the hook bait in a consistent position. This allows the hooklength to be presented in the same way every time.

What type of fishing are these hooklengths intended for?

The Super MWG Speed Stop Ready Rigs have been developed as all-round commercial hooklengths. They are suitable for feeder and bomb fishing and can also be used with a pole, depending on the rig and conditions.
