Description
Guru Slim Maggot – sensitive float for slowly sinking bait
The Guru Slim Maggot is designed for fishing on the drop and through different water layers. Its slim body and thin carbon stem follow the shotting pattern smoothly downwards, allowing maggots, casters, pinkies or hemp to sink naturally through the water.
The natural reed antenna is the distinctive feature of this model. It supports hookbait well, can be shotted very precisely and offers little resistance when a fish picks up the bait. This makes the float suitable for subtle canal and river fishing, as well as loose feeding on commercial fisheries and for F1s with natural bait.
The balsa body is finished with Guru’s durable Elastilex coating. This thin, elastic protective layer helps limit damage caused by knocks, wear and line cutting. For neat attachment, you will find suitable materials in the float silicone collection.

Frequently asked questions
Why is the reed antenna suitable for maggots and casters?
Reed combines sufficient buoyancy with sensitive bite indication. You can shot the float heavily while the bait remains naturally supported as it sinks.
Can I also use the Slim Maggot in shallow water?
Yes. This float is particularly effective when you want your bait to sink slowly through the upper water layers, for example while regularly loose feeding casters or maggots.
