15" QM1 Speedstop Barbless Rigs

The Guru 15" QM1 Speed Stop Barbless Rig is a ready-made hooklength of approximately 38 cm for feeder, bomb and certain pole fishing setups on commercial fisheries. The rig is tied with the PTFE-coated QM1 hook on proven Guru N-Gauge and is suitable for carp, F1s, bream and tench, among others.

The balanced hair ends in a Speed Stop, allowing you to attach softer hook baits quickly and securely. A 0.3 mm piece of micro silicone on the hook shank keeps the bait in the correct position. To pull the stop through pellets, sweetcorn, meat or other suitable hook bait, use the Guru Speed Needle with Speed Stops.

What bait is this Speed Stop rig suitable for?
The stop is particularly practical for softer or easily pierced hook baits, such as pellets, sweetcorn and cubes of meat. Choose bait that remains firmly in place after the stop has been pulled through it.

How do I attach hook bait to the Speed Stop?
Insert a Speed Stop Needle into the thicker end of the stop, pull the narrow section completely through the hook bait and then let the stop sit flush against the bait. Then remove the needle.

Why is there micro silicone on the hook shank?
The piece of silicone fixes the hair in the correct position along the hook shank. This keeps the presentation consistent and allows the QM1 hook to turn efficiently during a bite.
