Paste Float – Float (10 pcs)

The Guru Paste Float is a strong pole float specially designed for fishing with paste. The extra-long 1.8 mm hollow plastic tip remains highly visible and provides sufficient buoyancy to carry a soft ball of paste without the float continually sinking.

The body is made from high-density foam, combining durability with reliable shotting. A strong fibreglass stem provides stability, while the side eye is deeply and doubly glued into the body. This makes the float well suited to striking and playing carp on commercial fisheries.

Key features

• Specially developed for fishing with paste
• Extra-long 1.8 mm hollow plastic tip
• Highly visible and suitable for carrying soft, heavy hookbait
• Strong high-density foam body
• Fibreglass stem for stability and durability
• Deep-set side eye, doubly glued in place
• Designed as part of the Mick Wilkinson Signature series

Secure the stem with soft, well-fitting float silicone tubing and allow the lower piece of silicone to extend slightly beyond the end of the stem. This keeps the line protected when you move the float along the rig.

Frequently asked questions

Why does this paste float have such a long tip?

The long hollow tip provides extra buoyancy and visibility. This allows you to present a ball of paste without the weight of the soft hookbait immediately pulling the tip fully underwater.

What is the best way to shot the Guru Paste Float?

Match the main weight to the carrying capacity of the chosen float and use it as a compact bulk weight or a suitable olivette. In shallow water, this can be positioned close to the hooklength; in deeper water, you can place the weight higher up the line for a calmer bait presentation.

What type of fishing is the Paste Float intended for?

This float performs best when fishing specifically with paste for carp and other hard-fighting coarse fish on commercial fisheries. Its robust construction is made for situations where both stable presentation and maximum reliability are needed.
