Power Carp Spade End Barbless

The Gamakatsu Power Carp Spade End Barbless is a strong, barbless spade-end hook designed for targeting carp and other powerful coarse fish. This model is intended for situations where you need to apply plenty of pressure during the fight, for example when using heavy elastic or when a hooked fish needs to be guided away from obstacles quickly.

The round bend, carefully designed point length and slightly inturned offset point provide reliable hook-ups and secure hold. Its robust construction makes this hook suitable for both pole fishing and feeder fishing, without creating an unnecessarily coarse bait presentation.

Frequently asked questions

What type of fishing is the Power Carp Spade End suitable for?

This hook is developed for carp and other strong fish species. It really comes into its own when strength and control are more important than an ultra-fine presentation.

Why does this hook have a slightly inturned point?

The offset, slightly curved point supports quick hook-ups and helps the hook retain a secure hold during the fight when there is plenty of tension on the line.

Can I use this hook with heavy elastic?

Yes. The strong construction is suitable for heavier elastic rigs and a puller system. Also match the line diameter and the rest of the rig to the expected fish size and the risk of obstacles present.
