Frequently asked questions

When should I choose a barbed hook?

A barb provides extra holding power during the fight. Always check whether barbed hooks are allowed on the water where you are fishing.

Why does this hook have an eye?

The eye allows you to tie the hook directly to nylon or other suitable hooklength material. A correctly tied knot ensures the hook sits neatly in line with the hooklength.

Is the Power Carp Ring Eye suitable for feeder fishing?

Yes. Its strong pattern and inturned point make it suitable for feeder presentations for carp and other hard-fighting coarse fish. Always match the hooklength to the bait and conditions.

Can I also use this hook for pole fishing?

Yes, especially when targeting larger or hard-fighting fish. Choose an elastic and hooklength that together provide sufficient cushioning and pulling strength.
