Power Carp Barbed

The Gamakatsu Power Carp Barbed is a ready-made nylon hooklength for fishing for carp and other hard-fighting coarse fish. The strong black spade-end barbed hook is combined with a short 20 cm hooklength, giving you a compact setup for pole fishing and short feeder presentations.

Thanks to the pre-tied end loop, you can quickly attach the hooklength to the main line or a suitable swivel. The hooklength wallet keeps the rigs neatly separated and ready to use, allowing you to change them quickly on the bank. Each pack contains ten hooklengths.

Frequently asked questions

When is a 20 cm hooklength a good choice?

The short length is suitable when you want to present the hookbait close to the rest of the setup, for example when pole fishing on a commercial fishery or using a compact feeder setup.

Which species can I use this hooklength for?

The Power Carp is primarily intended for carp, but can also be used for other strong coarse fish when the chosen hook and line diameter suit the situation.

How do I attach the hooklength to my setup?

Use the pre-tied loop for a loop-to-loop connection or attach it to a suitable swivel. This allows you to replace the hooklength quickly without retying.

What should I consider when using a barbed hook?

Always check the fishery rules. Some commercial fisheries and competitions only allow barbless hooks.
