The Drennan Vertex Carp Method Rods are versatile method feeder rods for targeting carp and F1s on commercial fisheries. The range is designed for everything from short casts along your own bank to accurate fishing towards open water, an island or the far bank.

The slim, lightweight high-modulus carbon blank has a progressive action that absorbs shocks during the fight, while still offering sufficient power reserves to control strong fish. Enlarged line guides support smooth line flow and accurate casting. Each rod is supplied with matching carbon feeder tips; choose the version in the variant selector that suits your fishing distance and total casting weight.

Frequently asked questions

Which version best suits my fishing?
Choose a shorter rod for compact swims, your own bank and short to medium-distance casts. A longer version provides more reach and control when fishing towards islands, the far bank or further out in open water. You can find the current options in the variant selector.

What does the recommended casting weight mean?
This is the total weight you cast: the method feeder plus the groundbait and hookbait. Keep this in mind when combining the rod and feeder.

Which main line does Drennan recommend?
Drennan recommends a nylon reel line of approximately 6 to 10 lb for this range, equivalent to around 0.20 to 0.28 mm. Match the exact diameter to the fish size, obstacles and casting distance.
