MARGIN CARP BARBLESS HOOKLENGTHS 6"

Drennan Margin Carp Barbless Hooklengths 15 cm

The Drennan Margin Carp Barbless Hooklengths are strong, ready-made hooklengths for fishing for large carp and other powerful fish close to the bank. The barbless Margin Carp hook has a special bend, a medium-length shank and a long, slightly curved needle point with the very tip turned inward. This helps achieve quick hook-ups and maintain a reliable hook hold during the fight.

Each hook is precisely tied to extra-strong, low-diameter nylon. The hooklengths are stored flat and straight under light tension on a Hook Plate, preventing unwanted kinks in the line. This means they can be used quickly when fishing with strong pole fishing tackle and larger hook baits. If you prefer tying your own hooklengths, the same hook pattern is also available separately as the Drennan Margin Carp Barbless hook.

Frequently asked questions

WHAT TYPE OF FISHING ARE THESE HOOKLENGTHS DESIGNED FOR?

They are designed for targeting large carp close to the bank with strong pole fishing tackle. The robust hook is also suitable when you need a reliable hooklength for other powerful fish.

WHAT HOOK BAITS CAN I USE ON THE MARGIN CARP HOOK?

The hook is suitable for relatively large or firm hook baits, such as sweetcorn, meat, worms, paste and multiple maggots. Choose the hook size according to the bait and the fish you expect to catch.

WHY ARE THE HOOKLENGTHS STORED ON A FLAT PLATE?

The Hook Plate System keeps the hooklengths straight and under light tension. This keeps the nylon free from kinks, allowing the hooklength to be mounted neatly straight away.
