Hybrid Olivettes – Hybrid Inline Olive Weights

Drennan Hybrid Olivettes combine the security of an inline olivette with the quick adjustability of the classic Lock & Slide system. The line can be threaded through the weight, preventing the olivette from coming loose while fishing. Silicone tubing at both ends keeps the lead in place and makes it easy to precisely adjust its position on the line.

If you want to change weights quickly while fishing, the line can also be routed around the outside of the olivette. This allows you to alter your rig in seconds without rebuilding everything. The streamlined shape ensures a neat presentation, while the non-reflective camo bronze finish is less noticeable underwater.

Frequently asked questions

How do I mount a Drennan Hybrid Olivette inline?

Thread the main line through the opening in the olivette and secure the weight at both ends using the supplied silicone tubing. This keeps the lead securely in place while still allowing you to adjust its position.

What is the difference compared with a standard Lock & Slide olivette?

With inline mounting, the line runs through the weight. This prevents the olivette from coming off the line and eliminates the need for separate shot.

Can I quickly fit a different weight?

Yes. By routing the line around the outside of the olivette, you can quickly replace the weight without retying the entire rig.

Why does the lead have a camo bronze finish?

The matte camo bronze colour reflects less light than a traditional black finish, making it less noticeable underwater.
