Crystal Jiggers – Jigger Float (2 pieces)

The Drennan Crystal Jigger is designed for shallow fishing for carp and F1s on commercial fisheries. Its clear Crystal® body is barely visible to fish feeding high in the water and is much stronger and more durable than a comparable balsa or foam body.

This jigger float is semi-loaded, so it stands upright immediately after shipping the rig out. Depending on the bait used, the rig can carry approximately two to four additional No.8 shot. By sliding a Drennan Super Stop along the line, you can quickly adjust the fishing depth while following feeding fish.

Key features

• Designed for shallow fishing for carp and F1s
• Transparent Crystal® body that is inconspicuous in the upper water layers
• Strong, durable construction as an alternative to balsa or foam
• Semi-loaded so the float stands upright immediately
• Accommodates additional shot to fine-tune bait fall
• Fishing depth can be quickly adjusted with a sliding line stop
• Suitable for an active jigger presentation with pellets, maggots or casters

Ship the rig out, let the bait sink, then gently move the rod tip up and down. This varies the sinking speed and allows you to search different water layers. Move the line stop as soon as the fish start feeding higher or deeper in the water.

Frequently asked questions

What does semi-loaded mean for this jigger float?

Part of the required weight is already built into the float, so it stands upright immediately. You only need to add enough small shot to the line to achieve the desired bait fall and sensitivity.

How do I adjust the fishing depth without retying the rig?

Slide the Super Stop upwards for a deeper presentation or downwards for a shallower one. This allows you to react quickly while fishing when carp or F1s start feeding in a different water layer.

Why does the number of additional No.8 shot vary?

Larger or heavier hookbait affects how much of the float remains above the water. With approximately two to four No.8 shot, you can adjust the float's loading to suit the bait while maintaining the desired sinking speed.
