Acolyte Carp Pellet 6" Hook Plate System – 15 cm Barbless Ready-Tied Hooklengths

The Drennan Acolyte Carp Pellet 6" Hook Plate System consists of ready-made, barbless 15 cm hooklengths for pole fishing for carp and other hard-fighting coarse fish. The spade-end Carp Pellet hook has a very sharp, durable needle point and is designed for larger baits such as pellets, sweetcorn, meat and a bunch of maggots.

Each hook is expertly hand-tied to soft Acolyte Fluorocarbon. This virtually invisible hooklength material helps present the hookbait naturally. The hooklengths lie straight and under light tension on a flat Hook Plate, ready for immediate use without troublesome kinks. The plate also fits the matching Drennan Hook Book and Hook Box storage systems.

Frequently asked questions

What fishing is the Acolyte Carp Pellet intended for?
These hooklengths are primarily suitable for pole fishing on commercial fisheries, where carp and other powerful fish are targeted with relatively large baits.

Which hookbaits suit this hook pattern?
Use the Carp Pellet for firm, larger baits such as pellets, sweetcorn, meat or several maggots together. The strong hook pattern is well suited to active fishing where fish need to be landed quickly and reliably.

Why is each hooklength supplied on a Hook Plate?
The flat plate keeps the hooklength straight and under light tension. This keeps the fluorocarbon free from troublesome kinks and means the hooklength is ready to attach directly to the main line.
