Frequently asked questions

What type of lead can I use these pliers for?
The Styl Lead Pliers are designed for small shot, including styl lead and round or square split shot. Position the lead correctly in the jaws of the pliers before applying pressure.

How can I prevent damage to the nylon line?
Close the lead gradually and do not use more pressure than necessary. Then check that the lead is securely attached and that the line is undamaged at the attachment point.

What is precise shotting used for?
A carefully distributed shotting pattern determines how the bait sinks and how sensitively the float indicates bites. The right distribution depends on the fishing depth, current and desired bait presentation.
