Big Elastic Threader 2.15m – Elastic Threader

Carpshop24 Big Elastic Threader 2.15m – strong puller for thick pole elastic

The Carpshop24 Big Elastic Threader has been developed for fitting thick elastics from 2.6 mm in a top kit. Where a classic elastic puller with fine metal wire can kink or break under high resistance, this version uses strong and flexible leader material that withstands greater pulling force.

The 2.15-metre length is practical for a range of top kits. Feed the threader through the empty rod section, attach the elastic as compactly as possible to the end, and pull it back steadily. This allows you to fit heavy hollow or solid pole elastic in a controlled manner without heavily stressing a fragile metal eye.

Frequently asked questions

Why is this threader better for thick elastic?
Thick pole elastic creates more resistance in a top kit and therefore requires greater pulling force. The sturdy leader material of this threader is better suited to this load than fine, conventional metal wire.

How do I attach the elastic to the threader?
Make the connection secure but as slim as possible, so it fits through the bush and the narrowest passage of the top kit. Pull slowly and evenly; stop immediately if the connection catches anywhere.

Is this elastic puller suitable for every top kit?
The threader can be used for many top kits, but check whether 2.15 metres is sufficient for the total threading length. The opening of the bush and the rod section must also be wide enough for the chosen elastic and the temporary connection.
