Feeder Weights

Feeder weights help you match a feeder or rig to casting distance, water depth and current. A suitable weight supports a controlled cast and keeps the rig in place at the chosen spot, without fishing heavier than necessary.

Choose the weight in combination with the type of feeder, the rod test curve and the conditions. Always check the total casting weight of the feeder plus groundbait. On flowing water, more weight may be needed, while a lighter setup often fishes more subtly on still water.
