Drennan Acolyte Specimen Float Rod
The Drennan Acolyte Specimen Float Rods are slim, beautifully balanced, and have a greater power reserve than the popular 'Plus' models. This versatile blank is slightly stiffer and features a fast tip that improves line control and pickup, while providing better control of the float at distance. The progressive semi-through action with plenty of power lower down the blank offers more confidence and control when playing trophy-sized fish.
These rods have been extensively tested over two seasons on various waters, from large, fast-flowing rivers to deep gravel pits, proving their incredible versatility.
The forward action is still soft enough to catch smaller fish with light leaders, but these rods really excel when using larger floats for bigger specimens.
During testing, large chub, tench, and even barbel and carp were landed while remaining fully under control. The Acolyte Specimen is the ideal float rod for big fish.
